In July 2021, business partners and sailing friends Geert Jan van Zwieten and Roderick van Es founded their company Esdoorn de Vries, after having acquired initial capital themselves by trading boats for two summers.
One of the goals of our company is to teach young people something so that they are stronger and ready for the next step towards personal success. Acquisition seemed like a good way to start.
When we were just starting out, we went blind with KVK lists and, above all, a lot of calls. All that calling took a lot of energy, so we looked for new ways.
Geert Jan and Roderick developed a unique method for lead generation on LinkedIn, which resulted in leads much faster — warm leads.
“So many good leads naturally led to hustle and bustle among our customers' sales teams. So much so that a customer called me saying that he no longer had enough staff to follow up on all those leads.”
The logical next step was therefore to add staff recruitment to the service. And this turned out to be just as successful.
Today, Geert Jan and Roderick serve many SMEs from their offices in Amsterdam. And they don't do this alone: they do this together with their team of 15 enthusiastic colleagues — all young, professional and result-oriented.
When we have to give a sincere answer, we excel in engagement. We are a partner and become part of the company. Our customers come because they are looking for quality, and stay because we are involved.
And this goes beyond just running campaigns. Esdoorn de Vries goes the extra mile. For example, we often attend job interviews and sales interviews, actively accompanying our customers and providing tips (where necessary).
Our customers get a lot of attention: we don't serve generic leads or applicants to many companies, but look for the right lead or applicant — specifically for our customer.
