A recruitment campaign by Esdoorn de Vriesvoor brings eight new employees to Landré
Robert Bollaart, who is with Landre is responsible for Finance and HR, is extremely enthusiastic about the cooperation with Esdoorn de Vries. “Don't talk but brush”, and with results: he welcomed as many as eight new colleagues for the service organization's difficult-to-fill vacancy. What makes the collaboration so successful? That's what Robert says

Landré is a company with a rich history. “We've been around for over 160 years. Here in front of me is a 1963 booklet made to celebrate our 100th anniversary. Almost unimaginable!” Robert laughs. “It started with two men who both loved technology: Landré and Glinderman. They continued to expand, at one point they did everything but cars. Today's Landré includes a small part of the company at the time: after takeover, the company was split up and mostly sold.”
Today, Landré sells a broad portfolio of CNC machines, from milling machines and lathes to laser machines. The company stands out for the service they provide to their customers. “What we've certainly taken with us from the long history of our company is thinking in terms of technical solutions for the customer.”
In order to continue to offer these technical solutions, Landré relies on a team of knowledgeable professionals. “They are professionally competent and driven to achieve results, and scarce. That was always the case, but today it's harder than ever to find them. We need people with an interest in technology,” Robert explains. And Robert found those people thanks to the recruitment campaign by Esdoorn de Vries
Robert's experience with secondments and employment agencies is that there is little feeling about it. “As a result, both we as an employer and the job seeker do not always know where we stand and it can prove to be a mismatch after a short time. The fees they charge are also often just too significant for us as an SME. So we were looking for a party where we didn't have to pay the top prize.”
In addition, Robert also wanted to fish in a different pond than the traditional recruiters. “You can place advertisements in the newspaper, hang posters at schools and post vacancies online, but this mainly focuses on people who are actively searching. While latent seekers are perhaps much more interesting and ambitious. Jesper and Emiel van Esdoorn de Vries brought us into contact with a lot of suitable candidates, so we hired no less than eight passionate, new colleagues!”
After the recruitment by Esdoorn de Vries, Landré received the candidates on location. “We select candidates who match both Landré's core values and the criteria for the position.” New colleagues who started working with great enthusiasm and are all still part of the team. “They are young guys: we suddenly have a lot of people in our 20s and 30s walking around!”
Why Robert enjoys working with Esdoorn de Vries? “Surely that's the entrepreneurship that goes into it, with its feet in the clay. Like us, at Esdoorn de Vries, they are result-oriented and to the point, they speak the language of SMEs. And the concept behind the campaigns is simply very effective,” he says enthusiastically.
“Jesper and Emiel van Esdoorn de Vries did a great job. Soon after the start of the recruitment campaign for Service Engineers, interviews were scheduled with suitable candidates. I got to work on that as soon as possible, because you have to forge the iron when it's hot. I also learned a lot from the whole process and all the people who came by”.
“Now that we have the right people on board, recruitment activities are on hold. Getting our new team members properly onboarded and productive is a priority,” explains Robert. “But in the future, we will definitely get back to work with recruitment. You're good at that, it's proven!”
At the moment, Landré has switched to a lead generation campaign. “We've seen around us that this works extremely well. That is why we are using the campaign to boost sales around a newly affiliated supplier. Thanks to the leads you bring in for us, our internal salespeople don't have to call everyone themselves and can accelerate right away.”
With the expanded team and promising prospects of the lead generation campaign, Landré continues to innovate and enrich in order to provide their customers with the best possible technical assistance.
